Ming dynasty, first half 15th century
height with lid 12cm, without lid 9.1cm
Covered ewer, decorated on each side in underglaze blue with flaming pearl and cloud motif, with handle, short curved spout and two horizontal lugs. The pale blue glaze stops short of the foot, exposing the reddish fired porcellaneous body above the flat base.
